The CAN-Immo is an invisible and undetectable Immobiliser that
protects from modern vehicle theft techniques such as key relay attacks, CAN injection & Emergency Start Bypass.
The CAN-Immo uses either buttons in your car or a Bluetooth driver ID tag (1x included as standard) to disable the immobiliser. You can choose any combination of buttons making it unique to yourself and your car (button availability is dependent on model & spec of vehicle)
The latest technology is used to give vehicles the highest level of protection with the immobiliser automatically activating as soon as you exit the vehicle.
Upon entering the vehicle, if the BT driver ID tag is present, the system will automatically disarm & allow you to drive away as normal.
If the tag is not present (or if you prefer to not use the tag), enter the vehicle & input your own personalised disarm code. You can now safely drive the vehicle away!
The point at which you enter the code varies, depending on what vehicle you have, as different vehicles work in completely different ways.
Here are a few examples...
Most BMWs: Start the engine, then enter the disarm code. If the code is not entered prior to selecting a gear, the engine will cut out.
Newer Range Rovers & Land Rovers: Start the engine, then enter the disarm code. If the code is not entered prior to selecting a gear, you will be unable to disengage park. The gearbox is locked out & will not go into Drive or Reverse.
Most Mercedes: Start the engine, then enter the disarm code. If the code is not entered prior to selecting a gear, the engine will cut out.
Fiat/Peugeot/Citroen: Turn the ignition on, enter the disarm code & then start the engine. Some vehicles require the ignition to be briefly turned off & back on again to release the immobilisation. If this is the case, you will be advised of this prior to the installation.
But, if you are using the supplied Driver ID tag, in all of the examples above you can just jump in the car, start it up & drive away, with no additional steps required!
These examples are not exhaustive, & there are exceptions for certain models of vehicle, & as such are intended to be used only as a guide.
